Bio
My name is Christopher David Vanderhoof. Emerging from the vibrant DC punk rock scene, I’ve developed a distinctive artistic voice rooted in illustrative and street art styles. My work, characterized by bold acrylic paints, stencils, and spray paints, is inspired by street art, music, pop culture, and the great outdoors. I embrace experimentation, refusing to be confined to a single style or medium; I thrive on exploring new materials and creative expressions while appreciating the beauty of a well-crafted series.
My journey has taken me from Bamberg, Germany, where I honed my skills to Northern Virginia suburbs near Wash. DC — a place I wouldn’t recommend — . Ultimately, I found my home in the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado, where I now live with my family. As a self-proclaimed “punk elder,” I proudly wear the badge of a recovering marketeer and designer, now fully dedicated to my passion for art.
My interests are as eclectic as my art; I love the great outdoors, bicycles, Vespas, and all things punk, including Conan the Barbarian and Dungeons & Dragons. While I admire many artists, Banksy remains a favorite for his ability to blend social commentary with striking visuals. Musically, the band Idles captures my punk spirit and inspires my creative journey.
Though I’ve stepped back from social media, I invite you to explore my work and join me in celebrating the raw essence of art. My mission is to create pieces that resonate and reflect the world around us—one spray can at a time.
This is me
